An active group of students at Moffat Creek is organizing a charitable project called “Spread the Net”. This is a campaign in which money is raised to help buy bed nets for children in Africa to protect them from the deadly disease of malaria. Malaria is a disease that is carried by mosquitoes and infects people with this deadly disease. Only $10 is needed to buy a net for a family in need. Please take a few minutes out of this festive time of giving to donate any spare change to help buy these needed nets. Each classroom has a ‘Spread the Net’ cup on the teacher’s desk where money can be donated.
