Graduation at Moffat Creek provides us the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our grade eight students. It also allows for the staff to extend best wishes to the graduates as they continue onto secondary school.

The graduation ceremony is intended to be comfortable and special for our students. It is not intended to put added financial strain or social pressure on graduates or their families.

We look forward to celebrating the evening together!

Staff will speak with classes regarding appropriate clothing to wear.

What you need to know:

There will be a rehearsal the morning of June 26. We encourage bringing high heels to practice walking in. Please do not make appointments until after 11 am on June 26.

The graduation ceremony will take place on Wed., June 26 at 6:30 pm.

All graduates are asked to be at school at 6 pm.

The tarmac will be open for parking.

After the ceremony, cake and water will be served outside, weather permitting.

There is a dance for the graduates from 8:30-10 pm. The dance will be chaperoned by the administration and staff members. Parents are asked to pick up your child promptly at 10 p.m.

Admission to graduation is by ticket only. Each graduate received 2 free tickets last Friday. If you require more tickets, the cost is $5 per ticket, to a maximum of 4 tickets in total. Tickets and the form for additional tickets was sent home. The money collected from tickets helps to offset the cost of a DJ for the dance, decorations and cake.
