Believe it or not, planning is well under way for our grade eight year-end trip. This year, as a result of the survey results, students will be visiting our nation’s capital, Ottawa. The trip will include many exciting stops/events (Fort Henry, Parliament, the War Museum, the Royal Canadian Mint, a banquet hall dinner/dance and more). Itineraries will be sent home a few weeks before departure. Breakfasts, dinners and accommodations will be included in the price (lunches excluded).

The trip will begin on the morning of June 19, 2019 and conclude on the evening of Friday June 21, 2019. We will be traveling with Explorica Tours once again. A parent information night has been scheduled for Monday November 19, 2018 at 6:30 pm. It will be held in the library of Moffat Creek Public School. Specific events, cancellation insurance, supervision and general questions will be on the agenda. Parents must purchase insurance. The insurance payment must accompany the initial deposit.

The projected cost for the trip is approximately $450.00 (plus tax). An initial deposit $100 payable to Explorica, is needed to secure our reservations. The rest of the payments for this trip will be collected by Explorica and will be explained in the information session.

It is also very important to note that we will only take students this far from home (and assume this level of responsibility) when we are completely comfortable that the student will act in a safe, responsible manner.
