Moffat Creek Public School  opened September 4, 2012. The school, which is located on a large and beautiful natural area, off of Myers Road, is in many ways very unique. It’s name was chosen due to its geographical connection to Moffat Creek. The building is a large, 3 story structure, that is easily recognized by the large surrounding gallery windows and, of course, the awesome window attached to the school library.

The design of the school is sharp, clear, elegant and practical. Each pod of classrooms is clearly painted with warm, exciting colours and are well accented. The rooms are large, with ample shelving, white boards and display boards. The latest technology is utilized as each room is fully equipped with a sound field system and data projectors.

The entire school is fully accessible with touch free entrances, barrier free bathrooms on each level, a three floor elevator and walkway. Other features of Moffat creek include a large double gym, a spacious open concept library with an attached in-room computer lab. There is also a large music room with two moveable walls. The kindergarten rooms are expansive and include heated floors and built in bathroom facilities. There is an attached YMCA daycare, a before and after school program (WRDSB) and a youth development program (YMCA).

Moffat Creek School has a very dynamic and talented team of teachers and support staff. As a school, our focus will be on establishing strong learning expectations, respect for the environment and building strong community connections. Moffat Creek will be a safe, welcoming and powerful learning environment for all of the students!
