September 17th, 2018
Calling all Moffat Creek parents & guardians!
You are cordially invited to be a part of our School Council which will gather for the first time this
year on Wednesday, September 26 in the school library, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Come join us as we dream and plan together how we can best serve and support our school community and our children for this 2018 – 2019 school year.
What is School Council? A school council is an important venue for the various stakeholders in education to work in partnership. Its role, in collaboration with the principal, staff and the community, is to help set the priorities of the school, and to enhance learning opportunities, through various activities, for the benefit of our children/students. (From www.wrdsb.on.ca)
Can’t make this date? Don’t worry! School Council will be getting together the second Wednesday of every month from October until June. Mark your calendar and we will see you next time!
FIRST SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING of 2018-2019:
Wednesday, September 26, 2018 – 6:30 pm
There are many ways to volunteer with School Council – you don’t need to hold an elected position to participate or volunteer! However, there are several council elected positions for interested parents. If you would like to put your name forward for one of the elected positions below, please return the cut off portion below to the main office or call the school at 519-620-1661 to submit your name by Monday, September 24.
